It's one thing to describe the changes happening to downtown Salisbury; it's another to see them.
So I took a little walk around the area over the weekend with my trusty iPhone in tow, taking pictures of what's new over the last few months.
You've got the new State Attorney's office with its freshly minted sign.

We got a delicious preview of it during the Salisbury Festival. Now, the new Echelon Lounge restaurant is moving into bricks and mortar. It's got a pretty choice spot, right on the corner of Division and Main streets in space that has been an art gallery and home of the short-lived Delmarva Crossroads newspaper.
The additions to the Feldman's building have been torn down, revealing the old structure's former glory. That's pegged for office and retail space.

Now there's a dedicated gift store in Angello's Unique Gifts, right on the plaza.

The bank office on the corner opposite from Echelon won't be empty for long. It's going to be an office for a construction firm. The building is also under new ownership.

The old synagogue building on West Main is being turned into a wine and cigar bar. That would add to the growing list of bars and restaurants. Who knows? Salisbury may soon have the critical mass necessary to be a regular nightlife spot.
